Fence

Commissioned piece for the Lyric Theatre and Culturlal Arts Center, Lexington, KY (2017)

Promoting cultural diversity within the local community. By combining thousands of online images documenting the academic life of Chinese Youth, a large photographic collection of digital images is displaying the daily routine and life issues in the Chinese education system. The translucency of the wall of images in the space is creating a light and shadow effect interactive with the natural sunlight activity. On a daily basis, when the sun hits the wall it creates an evanescent sculpture of light, a “Fence” shifting in shadows, tones and rhythms.
