Tower

Installation work consisting of 15 feet tall rice paper panels hanging from the ceiling and hand-painted with liquid asphalt. Designed as a grid system, each panel is marked with the Chinese character "正 "equivalent to occidental number 5 and combining its different strokes from one to four. The liquid asphalt used to mark the paper - material used in coating and paving - is creating a temporary installation melting in time, a symbolic dichotomy for the heavy industrialization in China and the fleeting poetry of the art of handwriting.
